Course Overview
Our Prevent resource for Students will help develop the knowledge needed to meet the Prevent duty.
Our Prevent training for Students is split into three sections – an introduction to Prevent, British values including democracy, liberty and rights, and propaganda and radicalisation, including the meaning of radicalisation and the threat of terrorism.

Section 1: Introduction to Prevent
Discover what Prevent is and the aim of Prevent strategy.
Section 2: British Values
Understand what is meant by British Values, including liberty, freedom and rights and how these are protected by law. This section also covers extreme beliefs and the importance of diversity and respect for different cultures.
Section 3: Propaganda and radicalisation
Develop an understanding of propaganda, radicalisation and extremism. This covers extremist acts around the world and throughout history, how to recognise propaganda techniques online, the meaning of radicalisation and the threat of terrorism.
